This article explains how to merge positions in JForex.

The merge operation offsets positions of the same instrument without changing the net exposure. The operation does not involve a market transaction, hence no commission or spread costs.

Some requirements apply for merging positions:

• only positions of the same instrument can be merged
• positions with associated pending orders (SL/TP) cannot be merged

Positions Tab

Performing the merge operation in the Positions tab allows you to merge individual positions of the instrument.

To merge positions in the Positions tab:

1. Select the positions you would like to merge (1) .
2. Right-click on the selected positions and select Merge Positions (X) (2) .

Position Summary Tab

Performing the merge operation in the Position Summary tab merges all positions for the selected instrument.

1. Right-click the instrument for which you would like to merge positions and select Merge position. All positions for the instrument will be merged.
