UK citizens and Parliament representatives are divided on Theresa May's Brexit plan, which is leading the UK into a "national crisis."
May firmly rejected holding a second Brexit referendum on December 11, 2018, rescheduling the vote on her Brexit plan to January 14, 2019, leaving less than 80 days before Britain is due to leave the European Union.
Theresa May reschedules the vote for the Brexit plan due to understanding discontent of the representatives of the House of Commons, which could not support her Brexit plan during the voting procedure. The Leader of the Labour Party and Leader of the Opposition, Jeremy Corbyn says "The motion was based on the Prime Minister's "failure to allow the House of Commons to have a meaningful vote straight away on the Withdrawal Agreement and framework for future relationships between the UK and European Union."
In May's defense, she told the Commons, "Let us not break faith with the British people by trying to stage another referendum, another vote, which would do irreparable damage to our politics. Because it would say to millions who trusted in our democracy that our democracy does not deliver,"
Jeremy Corbyn tweeted on December 17, 2018, "It is unacceptable for the country to wait another month before Parliament has the chance to vote on Theresa May's botched deal. Therefore I have tabled a motion of no confidence in the PM this evening, so Parliament can take back control. #NoConfidence" - This vote of confidence was not the first that has been pushed forward by the opposition.
Wait for updates after a new year. Until then know that volatility is set to remain high and the future is still uncertain.
