The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics has published the monthly employment statistics. In general, the data is a lot better than expected. The US Dollar index is reacting to the news by immediately spiking up more than 60 base points.

The data release consists of three notable elements. Firstly, the Average Hourly Earnings Change that shows the monthly increase or decrease of average hourly pay. Secondly, the Non-Farm Employment Change that shows how many people found jobs during the month. Last but not least, the official Unemployment Rate %. This percentage shows the proportion of the US total workforce currently actively seeking work and not being able to find it and claiming unemployment benefits.

The average earnings were expected to show an increase of 0.3%, but the actual number is 0.4%.

Non-farm Employment Change revealed a reading of 254,000. The markets expected that 147,000 jobs would be taken.

The Unemployment Rate is 4.1% instead of the expected 4.2%
