During the week, noteworthy events start on Wednesday, 06:00 GMT, at that time, the United Kingdom Consumer Price Index year on year change is set to be published. During the last six months this event has caused moves from 10.0 to 16.2 base points.

On the same day, at 12:30 GMT the US Retail Sales and Core Retail Sales data sets are set to be published. Minor moves could be created by the event.

Wednesday's events are set to end with the most notable event of them all - the Federal Open Markets Committee announcements and the US Federal Reserve Rate Announcement.

On Thursday, the Bank of England is scheduled to make a rate announcement at 11:00 GMT. All GBP traders are bound to watch this event.

Afterwards, at 12:30 GMT, the US weekly Unemployment Claims could cause a move. Note that the two last releases caused, respectively, 20 and 40 pip moves.

On Friday, minor moves might be created by the 06:00 GMT UK Retail Sales and the 12:30 Canadian Core Retail Sales.

The reactions on the tables are measured in pips by comparing the difference in the exchange rate five minutes before the event and five minutes after the event.

EUR/USD: US CPI

The Euro traded sideways against the US Dollar, following the US CPI data release on Friday at 12:30 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate lost 8 pips or 0.06% after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.1840 level against the Greenback after the release.

EUR/USD: US PPI and Unemployment Claims

The Euro appreciated against the US Dollar, following the US PPI and Unemployment Claims data release on Thursday at 12:30 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate gained 35 pips or 0.29% after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.1880 level against the Greenback after the release.
