UK construction activity drops unexpectedly in August

Markit reported that its PMI for the UK construction sector fell to 51.1 last month from July's 51.9, while analysts expected a slight increase to 52.1 points.

Sentix reported on Monday that its Investor Confidence Index for the Euro zone rose to 28.2 points in September, up from the prior month's 27.7, whereas analysts anticipated a slight fall to 27.4.
