The US Bureau of Economic Analysis reported that the country's trade deficit in goods rose to $65.0B last month, up from June's gap of $64.0B, whereas analysts anticipated an increase to $64.5B.

The US Census Bureau reported that wholesale inventories rose 0.4% in July, following the prior month's increase of 0.6% but topping expectations for a 0.3% gain.
