Manufacturing sector in South Africa contracted notably in April falling at the faster rate in almost 3 years mainly due to a significant drop in new sales orders, the latest data revealed by the Bureau of Economic Research showed on Monday. The country's factory sector purchasing managers' index slipped from March's level of 50.3 points to 47.4 recorded in the following month.
