U.S. equities climb on China's trade data

U.S. equity markets were green as trade data from China exceeded forecasts and as investors weighed the U.S. unemployment insurance claims report. The S&P500 index added 0.3% to 1,696.50 as of 9:58 a.m. New York time, while the Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 0.03% to 15,509.26. The S&P 500 lost 1.1% in the last three days on speculation the Fed will taper stimulus this year.
