Nikkei advances for a sixth consecutive day

Japanese equities advanced, sending the Nikkei 225 to cap its sixth straight day of gains, as report showed the U.S. job market is reviving. In addition, the Bank of Japan held-off more quantitative easing. The Nikkei 225 Index rose 0.3% to close at 11,968.08 after earlier surging as much as 1.2%.  Five out of ten groups advanced. GS Yuasa Corporation, a battery supplier for Boeing Corp., jumped 9% on speculation U.S. authorities might allow the Dreamliner 787 flight tests, as the problem with batteries has been fixed. The company led gains in the industrials group that was 0.5% higher.  Furthermore, Olympus Corporation shares rose 5.5%, as Nikkei newspaper reported about the company's plans to bring down its debt by 100 billion yen. Tosoh Corporation was the third best performing blue chip company, capping losses in basic materials sector that erased 0.4%. Sharp Corporation paired biggest drop of 8% to close at 314 yen.
