Hong Kong shares extend their losses

Hong Kong blue Chips extended their losses, as the Hang Seng index went 0.1% down this week. The stocks fell as investors closed their positions on outperformers. The Hang Seng index slid 0.1% to 23,580.4 after closing at its 20-month high on Tuesday. Four out of nine groups declined n the gauge. Hengan International, which manufactures and sells personal hygiene products, posted biggest gains as its shares added 2.3% to HK$76.35. Sinopec Group surged 2.2% to HK$2.56 to pace gains in basic materials that were 0.15% up. Furthermore, HSBC Holdings rose 1.5% to HK$86.50 and contributed to financial shares that advanced 0.14%. Alongside to that, China Unicom lost 3.5% to HK$12.24 to pace losses in the worst performing telecommunications sector that erased as much as 1.5%. Chalco declined 3.33%, while China Life Insurance paired third biggest losses by slipping 3.03% to HK$25.65 and capped further gains in financials.
