Chinese manufacturing sector continued to expand

Activity in the manufacturing sector of China continued to increase in December of this year, as the benchmark PMI Index from the HSBC Bank, which evaluates the activity level in this sector of Chinese economy, decreased slightly to 50.5 points. The PMI stood at 50.8 points a month ago, while economists predicted the activity index for the country's manufacturing to reach 51 points.
