The Euro traded sideways against the Canadian Dollar, following the EU Flash Manufacturing and Services PMIs survey results release on Thursday at 08:00 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate gained 4 pips or 0.04% after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.7900 level against the Greenback after the release.
Markit released the EU Flash Manufacturing PMI survey results, which came out worse-than-expected of 33.6 compared with the forecast of 38.7.
According to the official release: "The COVID-19 pandemic was widely blamed for the deterioration, with April having seen an intensification of efforts to contain the virus outbreak across the continent. Lockdown measures included widespread temporary business closures and draconian restrictions on citizens' movement."
