Sugar fell despite Brazilian harvest delay

Rural commodities were mixed on Tuesday as global economic woes continued to dampen demand perspectives while better weather conditions are likely to boost crops.

Wheat was slightly higher as Russia production is likely to fall this marketing season after unfavorable weather conditions in May.

Corn managed to add almost 3% as recent fall in corn prices increased its appeal as livestock feed. However, cooler and wetter weather in the top-growing regions in the US capped the upswing.

Sugar lost 0.16% despite expected delay in Brazilian harvest caused by heavy rains.

Coffee continued to fall as weakening demand prospects and rising supplies from Brazil both weighted down on the commodity price.
