Dow Jones Industrial Average Index declined further on Tuesday as investors remained cautious ahead of FOMC minutes and ECB decision on monetary policy. Disappointing consumer spending data added pressure on US blue chips index. Dow Jones Industrial Average gave back 0.49% to end the session at 13,008.68. Telecommunications industry was the strongest in the index, posting a 0.83% gain. AT&T and Verizon Communications advanced by 1.13% and 0.42%. Meanwhile, health care industry was mixed, with Pfizer adding 1.39% and Merck & Co retreating 0.7%. Pfizer gained a spree after reporting inspiring Q2 earnings. Meanwhile, industrials tumbled on global growth concerns. 3M Co and Caterpillar dropped 0.05% and 1.73%.
