Japanese stocks moved down on Eurozone's instability

Japanese stocks slid on Tuesday after Moody's cut its outlook on Germany, the Netherlands and Luxemburg. However, Nikkei pared losses after governor of BoJ, Masaaki Shirakawa, announced he is monitoring the impact on stronger Yen on the Japan's economy. Nikkei 225 Index inched down 0.24% to end the day at 8,488.09. The largest gainer was All Nippon Airways, which rose 3.31% after losing 19.6% since June when the company announced a secondary offering. Meanwhile, Sharp Corp. tumbled 1.7%, attaining 37-year low after Nikkei newspaper stated that the firm is likely to have faced larger than expected loss in Q2. Toshiba Corp. lost 5.4% on reports that the company plans to reduce chip output by 30%.
