Australian building approvals decline in October

The number of approvals for building in Australia contracted 1.8% in October of this year on a monthly basis, reaching in total 16,491. Economists, in turn, predicted the number of approvals to slump 5% after a revised 16.9% jump a month ago. The building permits surged 23.1% on the annual basis in October, which also exceed economists' forecasts for a climb of 17%.
