Gold drops on speculation that Fed may scales back

Gold slightly declined on Friday session and was set to end its series of weekly gains amid speculation that the Federal Reserve may continue to taper off as economic data signaled that the economy is improving. Bullion for delivery in January shed from yesterday's level of $1,242.39 an ounce and was last seen at $1,242.23 as of 9:28 a.m. Singapore time.
