USA producer prices increase as expected

The US Bureau of Labor Statistics has published the US Producer Price Index data sets. Namely, price inflation change at the company level. It turns out that producer inflation has grown, but at an expected pace.

Meanwhile, note that the President of the ECB is scheduled to host a press conference at 12:45 GMT. However, this time Madam Lagarde is bound to be ignored. The United States Producer Price Index will be published at 12:30 GMT. US inflation data is far more important to the market than what the ECB might reveal at the press conference.

The Producer Price Index was expected to show a monthly increase of 0.3%. It turns out that producer inflation has increased by 0.2%.

Meanwhile, the Core PPI, which excludes food and energy product prices, was forecast to show an increase of 0.2%. This forecast was correct.
