Bank of England hikes rates

The BoE has just increased its Official Bank Rate from 4.25% up to 4.50%. The central bank has decided to hike only 0.25%, despite annual inflation in the United Kingdom once again being above 10.00% mark.

The bank reports that seven members of the nine member committee voted for a rate hike. Meanwhile, two members wanted to keep the rate unchanged.

RBNZ ends monetary tightening

The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has unexpectedly revealed that it would end its monetary tightening cycle. This morning, the central bank hiked its rate from 5.25% up to 5.50% and announced that it is the last hike. United States publish inflation data

The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics has just published the monthly inflation data sets. The release consists of US Consumer Price index m/m, Consumer Price Index y/y and Core Consumer Price Index m/m changes in percent. The markets had already priced in inflation and market consensus forecasts were compiled. Due to this reason, the US Dollar value adjusts
