UK Retail Sales move GBP

On Friday, at 06:00 GMT the United Kingdom Retail Sales data was released. The country's retail sales had increased by 9.2% instead of the market forecast 4.5%. Due to this reason, the Pound adjusted its value to the upside.

In regards to the GBP/USD the rate adjusted up by 13 pips. However, the rate encountered the resistance of the 1.4200 round exchange rate level. By 06:40 GMT, the rate had already declined 25 base points.

NZD surges on RBNZ Rate Statement
