The Euro traded sideways against the US Dollar, following the US Flash Manufacturing PMI survey results release on Thursday at 13:45 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate gained 2 pips or 0.02% after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.0990 level against the Greenback after the release.
Markit released the US Manufacturing PMI survey results, which came out better-than-expected of 39.8 compared with the forecast of 39.3.
According to the official release: "U.S. private sector firms reported a slightly slower rate of contraction of activity in May, as the economy began to reopen. That said, the fall in output was substantial, as both manufacturers and service providers indicated marked declines in client demand."
