The European Common Currency traded sideways against the US Dollar, following the US CPI data release on Thursday at 12:30 GMT. The EUR/USD exchange currency rate lost 6 pips or 0.05% right after the release. The Euro continued trading at the 1.0940 level against the Greenback.
Bureau of Labor Statistics released the US CPI data, which came out in line with the expectations of 0.1%.
According to the official release: "Increases in the indexes for shelter and medical care were the major factors in the seasonally adjusted all items monthly increase, outweighing a decline in the energy index. The energy index fell 1.9 percent in August as the gasoline index declined 3.5 percent. The food index was unchanged for the third month in a row."
