UK base rate on hold until middle of next year

The BoE is expected to keep its interest rates unchanged until mid-2016 and not raise them anytime soon, which is primarily caused by the gloomy global economic outlook, said CEBR. In addition to that, it is believed that an increase in May or August next year is more possible than in February, as previously projected. The UK economy is forecasted to grow 2.5% within 2015, to slow down to 2% next year and, eventually, advance by 1.7% throughout 2017-2020.

Italy's Manufacturing Confidence Index increases in September

As reported by Italy's statistical office Istat, confidence in the country's manufacturing sector stepped up in September.
