Manufacturing activity improves in Germany, UK and Euro zone

Germany's final manufacturing PMI for the fifth month came in at 52.1, following the 52.4 reading reported earlier and April's 51.8 result. Meanwhile, final PMI figures for the UK came in at 50.1, compared to the 49.9 forecast and April's revised up 49.4 points, whereas the Euro zone's final manufacturing PMI for May came in at 51.5, in line with expectations and the previous month's reading.
