Crude futures slightly lower

Oil prices edged slightly lower on Thursday morning, as investors evaluated crude inventory data released on Wednesday. The US benchmark WTI futures slipped 0.5% to $44.94 a barrel, while the European Brent Crude lost 0.1% to $49.53 a barrel by 7:10 AM GMT. US Crude inventories saw a 4.4 million decline last week, while analysts had expected a decrease of just 1.4 million barrels.
