Profitability expanded across both periods. Fourth-quarter net income reached $2.998 billion, or $6.75 per diluted share, up from $2.610 billion ($5.87 per diluted share) a year earlier. This quarterly figure included a $0.15 per-share net benefit from IEEPA tariff refunds, net of reinvestments into member pricing. Full-year net income increased 13.9% to $9.226 billion, or $20.76 per diluted share, supported by steady membership fee growth, which contributed $5.91 billion to the top line over the 52 weeks.
The balance sheet and cash generation ended the year on solid footing. Costco generated $15.83 billion in operating cash flow for fiscal 2026, funding $6.44 billion in capital expenditures for property and equipment while returning $2.46 billion in regular dividends and $848 million via share repurchases. Cash and cash equivalents closed at $20.21 billion, up from $14.16 billion at the end of fiscal 2025, supporting a global footprint that reached 939 warehouses across 14 countries.
