Oracle delivered strong Q1 FY2027 financial results, driven by surging demand for artificial intelligence workloads that pushed total revenues up 30% year-over-year to $19.35 billion. Growth was led by the cloud segment, where overall cloud revenue climbed 62% to $11.61 billion, bolstered by a 121% surge in Cloud Infrastructure (IaaS) to $7.39 billion. GAAP operating income grew 57% to $6.73 billion with diluted EPS of $1.56 (up 55%), while non-GAAP operating income reached $8.15 billion with EPS of $1.92 (up 30%). Backlog expanded considerably, with Remaining Performance Obligations (RPO) jumping $209 billion year-over-year to $664 billion following more than $30 billion in new AI cloud contract bookings.



To meet demand, Oracle added 850MW of data center capacity and delivered over 300,000 GPUs during the quarter, bringing capital expenditures to $28.50 billion. Operating cash flow rose 184% to a record $23.10 billion—aided by $11.36 billion in customer prepayments—while high infrastructure spending resulted in negative free cash flow of $5.40 billion, supported by an At-the-Market common stock sale that raised $19.91 billion net. Looking ahead, Oracle raised its full-year FY2027 outlook to at least $90 billion in revenue and non-GAAP EPS of $8.10, alongside Q2 revenue growth guidance between 30% and 34%.
