Silver is currently in a pronounced short-to-medium-term downtrend against the US Dollar, confined within a clear bearish descending channel since early September. The price recently broke below a major horizontal support level near 57.000, which will now likely act as strong overhead resistance, and currently sits at 50.523 following a sharp 2.69% daily decline. With aggressive bearish momentum pushing the price directly onto the lower boundary of this channel, the asset faces a critical technical juncture; a technical bounce could trigger a relief rally back toward the 57.000 level, while a decisive close below the current channel support risks accelerating downward momentum into the 40s.
