U.S. Stock-Index futures drop on second day of shutdown

U.S. stock futures declined after S&P's 500 Index advanced two almost two-week high, as a report showed that companies added less then estimated amount of jobs and the government shutdown went on. December S&P 500 futures dropped 0.6% to 1,679 as of 8:19 a.m. New York time, while Dow Jones Industrial Average contracts slid 0.4%, or 59 points, to 15,061 today. The U.S. equities benchmark index added 0.8% yesterday.

ECB holds interest rates record low while Euro economy recovers

The ECB held its interest rate  at low level  as the Euro area bounces back from its all-time longest recession. The interest rates were kept at 0.5% for the fifth month as expected. The overnight rate as was at 0.21% today, while it has decreased from 0.3% on September 5.
