Loonie fall as Mark Carney becomes BOE chief

Canada's currency declined from the highest level in two weeks versus the greenback as the Bank of Canada Governor Mark Carney became a chief of the Bank of England, increasing speculation who is going to replace him in Ottawa. The Loonie fell 0.3% to 99.60 cents per greenback before trading at 99.31 cents. It rose earlier to 99.18 after touching 99.16 cents on November 13, the highest since November 7.

Asian equities surge, as Greece gets reduced borrowing costs

The 17-nation currency reached the strongest level in three weeks as the Eurozone's finance chiefs agreed on Greece's debt burden and funding gap.
