Aussie advances to one-week high as retail extends

The Australian Dollar advanced to the strongest level in more than one week as today's data indicated the January trade surplus extended to the most in two and a half years and retail sales grew faster than economists originally projected. Australia's currency added 0.4% to 90.22 U.S. cents at 2:06 p.m. in Sydney after it was little changed at 90.33, the strongest level since Feb. 25.
