Asian stocks rise on hopes for deal in Washington

Asian equities advanced on Tuesday rising to the highest level in almost five months as investors become optimistic about a possible agreement between the U.S. President Barack Obama and House Republican about the new federal debt limit. The MSCI Asia-Pacific index outside Japan added 0.8% increasing to the strongest level since May 23, while Japan's Nikkei gained 0.5% to a 2-week high.
