Inflation in Japan surged in August amid energy prices

Japanese inflation jumped 0.8% in August of this year on the annual basis, while the increase was the fastest since 2008. Economists, on average, forecasted a consumer price index to add 0.7%. It is worth pointing out that overall prices in the country declined 0.1%, excluding perishables and energy. Government's plan provides that rising inflation will increase wages level across the country.
