Asian stocks rise on positive U.S. factory data

Asian stocks advanced after U.S. manufacturing unexpectedly increased and the Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke pledged to continue record stimulus, improving the outlook for exporters. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index rose 0.3% to 122.27. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index jumped 0.9% and New Zealand's NZX 50 Index advanced 1.1%. Japan's Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 0.2% and South Korea's Kospi Index climbed 0.1%.
