US Core PCE Inflation impacts markets

At 12:30 GMT, the US Bureau of Economic Analysis released the United States Core Personal Consumption Expenditures.

The market consensus was that the price would have increased by 0.4% on a month on month basis. However, the number was revealed to be 0.3%.

The release caused an immediate sharp drop of the value of the US Dollar against other financial assets.

Bank of England hikes Official Bank Rate

The Bank of England has once again hiked its base interest rate. Official Bank Rate has been increased from 4.00% up to 4.25%, as the market expected. In the meantime, note that seven out of the nine BOE Monetary Policy Committee members voted for the 0.25% rate hike. Two members voted to keep interest rates intact.
