BP beats expectations

Despite British Petroleum annual profit halving in 2023 to $13.8 billion, the company has revealed that it has beat the last quarter expectations by posting a profit of $3 billion.

Namely, the markets expected the energy company to perform even worse than it actually has. Due to this reason, the value of the stock is moving higher. By mid-European trading hours, the news have caused a 5% jumps of the company's stock price.
