Service sector in the United Kingdom recorded a slight increase in the month of October with the pace of growth easing on a sequential basis mainly due to a weak performance by hotels, restaurants and distribution, the Office for National Statistics showed in a report on Friday. The U.K. service sector index gained 0.1% on a monthly basis in October after rising 0.2% in the prior month.
