FTSE 100 extends gains on German confidence

After closing 0.4% higher on Monday, UK FTSE 100 Index extended gains on Tuesday. UK benchmark index was lifted by better than expected Chinese GDP data and by an unexpected jump in German investor confidence. RBS led the gains, climbing 4.87%, after the bank announced, it will sell its aviation division to Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group for $7.3bn. On the downside was Burberry Group PLC, giving up 2.23% after reporting third quarter sales data. At the moment of writing FTSE 100 is 0.57% or 32.51 points up at 5,689.58.

German DAX rally as investors regain confidence

German DAX Index rallied 1.3% on Monday and kept upward trend on Tuesday trade, led by car makers and consumer service firms.
