Asian shares advance for a fifth day in a row

Asian shares gained for a fifth straight day, it is on course for the longest winning streak in one and a half month, on low trading volumes and the trading was closed due to bad weather conditions. The MSCI Asia Pacific Index increased 0.4% to 135.64 at 2:23 p.m. Hong Kong time, while Japan's Topix index gained 1.2% and it's volume dropped to the lowest yearly.

Australian Dollar drops against Kiwi

The Australian currency fell versus New Zealand's Dollar after the consumer spending and wages reports were released and these data indicated on divergence between these South Pacific countries.
