Australia's motor vehicle sales fall in March

Sales of new motor vehicles in Australia decreased in March with the total number of sold motor vehicles recording 95,113, falling on a monthly basis by 0.6% after being flat in February, a report released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics unveiled on Tuesday. Sales of passenger vehicles rose 3.3%, while other vehicle and sports utility vehicle sales dropped 9.1% and 0.5%, respectively.

Manufacturing activity in New York area slightly increased in April, however, the index measuring the activity declined by more than preliminary estimated, according to data revealed by the Federal Reserve Bank of New York on Monday.
