German CPI increases 1.5% in February

Germany's consumer prices advanced on an annual basis in the month of February mainly due to a notable 12.4% increase of electricity prices, the Federal Statistical Office reported on Tuesday.  Year-on-year, inflation as the consumer price index rose 1.5% in February compared to a level of 1.7% in January, on a sequentially basis the consumer price index added 0.6% in February.
