The Canadian dollar appreciated
against most of its trading counterparts after data showed the U.S. employment increased
more than expected. The loonie rebounded from almost quarterly low against the greenback
as the U.S. manufacturing gauge surged, hence favouring risk appetite. Canada's
currency advanced 0.3% to 99.65 cents per dollar and edged above its 200-day
moving average of 99.94 cents.
