U.K. retail sales drop more than expected in March

Retail sales in the United Kingdom fell more than originally expected in March mainly due to a decrease in sales of non-food stores, the report released by the Office for National Statistics showed on Thursday. According to the report retail sales slipped sequentially 0.7% in March reversing an increase of 2.1% recorded in the month before, while retail sales were forecast to drop by 0.6%.
