Swiss stocks extended losses on Monday.
The Swiss blue-chip index SMI, a measure of the largest and most actively traded companies, lost 1.11%, or 64.13 points, to 5,713.34. The broader Swiss Performance Index fell 1.13%, or 60.62 points, to 5,325.76.
"We have more than just the euro zone to worry about, as global growth starts to disappoint from all corners," said UBS analysts in a note to clients.
"For the start of the new trading week things are looking increasingly bleak for European equities," ETX Capital trader Markus Huber commented.
