Swiss stocks declined on Wednesday.
The Swiss blue-chip index SMI, a measure of the largest and most actively traded companies, fell 0.25%, or 15.16 points, to 6,109.93. The broader Swiss Performance Index lost 0.17%, or 9.67 points, to 5,584.32.
The Federal Statistical Office is to announce change in year-on-year retail sales on Monday. Sales rose 0.6 per cent in December, after increasing 1.8 per cent in November.
