"Most people are not 100% convinced we'll get any clear signs from the Fed"
- Peter Dixon, strategist at Commerzbank
U.K. stocks extended losses on Wednesday as investors awaited moves by the Federal Reserve and European Central Bank.
The FTSE 100 Index retreated 0.56 per cent to 5,743.53. The broader FTSE All-Share Index declined to 2,985.95.
"Most people are not 100% convinced we'll get any clear signs from the Fed, and that may be a reason people are a little disappointed. They are selling off in advance," said Peter Dixon, strategist at Commerzbank in London.
