- Colin McLean, managing director at SVM
U.K. stocks closed flat on Tuesday ahead of Jackson Hole Symposium.
The FTSE 100 Index fell 0.02 per cent to 5,775.71. The broader FTSE All-Share Index erased to 2,999.75.
"I am not expecting further QE ... given I think the U.S. has shown good signs of recovery this month in construction and also in retail," said Colin McLean, managing director of Edinburgh-based fund manager, SVM.
"I think the U.S. economy is doing as well as it can and doesn't need further stimulation."
