GBP/USD has broken decisively below its multi-week descending channel, accelerating downward from the 1.3550 region toward a local low near 1.3340 before stalling. Price action is currently consolidating below the sharply declining 20-period SMA (1.34151), which reinforces near-term bearish momentum and now serves as immediate overhead dynamic resistance. While the pair is attempting to carve out a temporary support shelf around 1.3350, the absence of an impulsive rebound leaves the structure vulnerable to further downside.



  • Trend & Channel Break: The sharp breakdown beneath the lower channel boundary near 1.3400 confirms aggressive seller control and shifts intermediate bias further into oversold territory.
  • Immediate Resistance: 1.3400–1.3415, where the broken channel base aligns directly with the falling 4-hour 20 SMA. A secondary supply hurdle sits at 1.3500–1.3520.
  • Support Levels: Immediate base support lies at 1.3340–1.3350. A decisive breakdown below this shelf opens the path toward the major structural horizontal support marked at 1.3270.
