EUR/AUD decline finds support

The EUR/AUD currency exchange rate has reached the lower trend line of the channel down pattern that has guided the rate down since August. Most recently, the rate passed below the October low level zone at 1.6320/1.6400.

A potential recovery of the Euro against the Australian Dollar would have to break the 1.6320/1.6400 range. Higher above, the 1.6500 mark could turn into resistance with the additional help of the 50 and 200-day simple moving averages. If this level would be passed, the markets are likely set to watch the upper trend line of the channel down pattern.

On the other hand, a continuation of the ongoing decline is expected to be slowed down by the lower trend line of the channel. If the channel is broken, the rate is expected to look for support in the 1.6000 mark and the 2022 December high level at 1.5980. Below these levels note the 2023 June low level at 1.5865.
