The US Dollar has been depreciating against the Swiss Franc since the beginning of May, after the currency pair reversed south from the upper boundary of the long-term ascending channel at 1.0230.
Recently, the pair has tested the lower channel line located at the 0.9708 mark. From a theoretical perspective, it is expected, that the exchange rate could reverse north and trade upwards. Important level to look out for is the monthly PP at 1.0080.
However, note, that the rate is pressured by the 200-hour SMA, currently located at 0.9823. Thus, if the given channel does not hold, it is likely, that some downside potential could prevail in the market, and the pair could target the Fibonacci 23.60% retracement at 0.9463.
